I returned the Xumo box today because this feature is missing. It's much easier to see, when playing back a recording on a set top DVR, where the ads end and the program resumes. This is a feature that streaming services offer in addition to not needing to pay extra for cloudDVR service or local broadcasting.

Cloud DVR Plus is $9.99 per month and would store recorded content for up to one year. This can be done by unplugging the box from the cable line and the power line for a solid 3-5 minutes. Good evening @Lyn_T that would be for the box. But this is in the Spectrum app category. However, @mqstack mentions being able to DVR rewind/fast forward in the past, so I would recommend a cold reboot of the equipment as well.
