I think 1.5" just looks too small on a 40 series. Yes proper design can go a long ways in the function department, but I even felt my 1.75" cage looked a tad small and 2" may have looked better. With mixed street use, I would not run 1.5", most pigs are heavy.

Based on the info in this thread I purchased side mirrors for my 2014 RZR XP4 1000 that were 1.75" diameter but they don't want to fit on to the roll cage.
