Spell Combat: This is what makes magus want to use one handed weapon (except e.archer). You basically can cast with one off hand free and swing with your other hand. At level 1 you can use shocking grasp as a normal touch spell and swing at the same time. Combined with Spellstrike it changes the scenario.

There is no "best" Magus. Different kinds of Magi are good (or in comparison to the other kinds "best") in different areas. All of them are viable. If you want ranged combat, be an Eldritch Archer. For melee: Vanilla Magus for highest number of spells per day and highest flexibility. Eldritch Scion for ease-of-use with spntaneous casting.

Use Mobility 2 +spell dance+ blue movement maneuver to clear the mobs, after that focus stronger enemies by using dimension strikes+spell combat+ force strike. You can dip into crossblooded sorcerer early to get conversion to cold and later bloodline ascendance or take mythic lightning.

That is the biggest hurdle for this build imo. You won't be a full gunslinger, so won't have your way reload until later levels to help even out your action economy. And Magus in general is already pretty action starved. Starlit is less so than the melee centric ones, but spellstrike being 2 actions makes it tough to fit in reload actions. Sword Saints don't need to use a sword. The weapon you pick will influence how the character plays: If you want to use a reach weapon like a glaive, you'll want feats like Cleaving Finish.
